Garnett's Antiques & Goodies: Where Altered Art & Whimsy Collide

Well despite the economy, our bracelets are still selling. We are so happy that everyone loves our Halloween altered art bracelets. We have so much fun making them. The vintage Victorian images are so much fun to work with. They have some much life to them. I need to make a few more Halloween bracelets but then that will be it so get them while you still can. We are getting ready to start on our Thanksgiving bracelets so watch for those.

Nettie and I are so excited. We checked our Mission Fish account and saw that we have donated about $165.00 to help those with Traumatic Brain Injury. We also have to thank all of you whom have bid on our charity auctions. We could not do this without you. We hope that people will go bid crazy over this Frankeinstien bracelet. Our family knows how hard it is to get therapy services for those with TBI. Nettie would still be in a wheelchair with a feeding tube if it was not for the wonderful therapists that have worked so hard with her. Insurance companies feel that only very little therapy is neede once the patient leaves the hospital. Nettie's accident was over two years ago and she still needs therapy almost every day of the week. This association helps all of these families in need. Many of whom are vets returning from Iraq.

Nettie and I are having so much fun making Halloween bracelets. We already made over 25 for the craft fair but we want to list and make more for ebay. Halloween is so much fun for our family. We decorate the house like a haunted house with a graveyard. We play scary music and just have so much fun jumping out at people to give them a good scare. We hope our bracelets will be passed down as we try to add the sense of fun along with those wonderful Victorian vintage postcard images. We keep playing with things so that we can make some handmade Halloween beads as well. We came up with a great Dracula that we hope to post soon. We can't wait for the big night.

This is the first time I have bloged so I hope I am doing this the way I am supposed to. Nettie and I just love Halloween. We will be posting some of our newest creations soon so keep a watch for those. We have been having some great fun with polyclay and vintage images. It seems like just when we think we have run out of ideas, poof goes another one. Nettie is a beading pro. We are also doing a very large craft fair called the New Earth Festival in Atlanta, Indiana. They have around 100,000 visitors to the fair in just two days. We hope to have lots of fun. I will try to post some pics of the fair after it happens on Sept. 27th and 28th. I will also be auction off many of my antiques so I will have plenty of money for Christmas cheer. Well watch for updates and have a spooktakular day!!!!! Steph and Nettie
